How long do you have to be in college to become a neuropsychologist?

It depends on what you want to do in the field. If you want to have a private practice, you will need to get a PhD. If you want to do research, you get a Bachelor's degree which will enable you to work in a lab on animals or do research but it is limited. If you want to conduct research on people (clinical research), you will need to get your PhD. You might also want to look into the benefits of getting your MD/PhD. The bachelor's degree is generally 4 years, but make sure to go into a program where you have the opportunity to work in the field as well while still a student.
