First, I would only look to intern at companies that you would want to work for in the future. Many interns will end up working for the companies that they previously interned with. This really is a trial run to see if you would want to work for the company in the future. I was a Finance Major and realized I didn't want to do direct Finance related work (because I didn't like the day to day work of my internship). By working at the company for a few months, you will get to see the culture and really focus your attention on that - see how attentive managers are, try to set meetings with different levels of employees and ask their thoughts on the firm, the culture, the leadership and career mobility opportunities. As much as they are evaluating you... you need to be evaluating them! You want to make sure the firm is a good fit. Take notes of everything you really like and don't like or wish that could have been improved. Your internship will help you start understanding what's important to you in a firm and what you can live without. Good luck!! I wish you the very best!!
