Sasha’s Answer

Hello Charell,

I understand that this query might seem challenging due to the significant differences across various specialties. Generally speaking, specialists such as orthopedists, ophthalmologists, cardiologists, and so on, tend to earn more than your average Primary Care Physicians (internists, family medicine practitioners, pediatricians). Your income can also be influenced by the number of years you've been practicing, as it takes time to establish a successful practice.

To give you a rough idea, most Primary Care Physicians start earning between $120K and $280K, eventually reaching a plateau between $300K and $500K. However, there are exceptions, with some exceptionally successful and business-savvy doctors earning even more. The income range for specialists is broader, typically starting around $300K and extending much further.

It's also crucial to consider the impact of geographical location, as income can vary greatly across the United States. Furthermore, it's worth noting that in the US, physicians don't usually work for the government, meaning there's no fixed salary range. Factors such as your chosen specialty, working hours, competition, type of practice, and location can significantly influence your compensation.

Wishing you all the best on your journey!

Brenda’s Answer

This would depend on where you are practicing, how much experience you have, what your specialty is, whether or not it is a private practice group or a clinical setting, what city and state you are in, etc.

Sai Sudha’s Answer

Hello Charell

Each and every profession's salary differs with the geography you are working along with the skill set and experience that you have. Adding on to that, generally, a government job and a private job offer different salaries in most of the countries. So basically it varies everywhere and in every condition.
