Is it better to get a GED at an undergrad then transfer?

Hello Alvin,It is best to complete your GED through a local adult education program first. Once you pass your GED you can then take college courses at a community college or 4-year undergraduate university. I started with my GED, then community college and transferred to a 4 year university and went on to complete my Master's degree. It worked because I was able to space out my learning and didn't get overwhelmed. It also saved me a ton of money on tuition. I would also recommend that you call the school first because you may be able to get the fees waived if you cannot afford to pay for the GED test or classes.
