Alexis,
You won't know what you don't know when you begin university life. It's better to get a feel for your new life without the added pressures of a demanding schedule, unless it can't be helped. If you're a student-athlete, there are additional resources typically available to help find the balance.
Much like 3in1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash products, something usually gives. Because the primary focus for many incoming students is academic, maintaining your grades are important -- not to mention that the NCAA/NAIA, scholarships, financial aid, and institutions require certain standards for satisfactory progress.
I believe that you'll find the time to do the things that you want to do during your undergraduate experience. Just be sure to allow yourself time - time to figure out how things work, the best way to approach the situation, and the who/where the resources are to help you in your endeavors. You'll be on to bigger, better things in no time!
I wish you all the best!
