What is the best thing to do while in college?
What fun things, no matter what college I go to, should I do once I move to the dorm and have my own freedom.

Nevaeh,
Honestly, the first things you want to do once you have your "freedom" will have to do with learning "how to adult." You will be responsible for cleaning your dorm, doing laundry, buying groceries, preparing meals, managing your own finances, etc. The first semester is a little turbulent as you learn to do all these things while attending classes and keeping up with your studies, not to mention, learning to live with a roommate!
But, there will still be time for fun. So, what you do will sort of depend on what "fun" means to you. I encourage you to explore areas outside your comfort zone, outside your major. There will normally be music and sporting events, theatrical performances, poetry readings, educational lectures, political activity - all centered around the campus. You could take up rock climbing or kayaking, volunteer for charitable events or organizations, start a campus group, coach youth sports, etc.
If you can find a way to intertwine "fun" with resume building, so much the better. Many companies like to see that you do something to "give back" to the community.
One word of caution. While having fun, please do not do things that could potentially be humiliating on social media, or result in an arrest. You need to keep an eye on the end-goal, a career.
Good luck to you! Have fun!

Hi, living in a dorm will offer you so many opportunities to get to know new people. Dorms also offer activities you can participate in to help broaden your circle of friends. Look at joining clubs, extra curricular activities or sororities/fraternities. Attend your college sporting events, theater productions (if offered) or other college sponsored events. If you have the bandwidth and want your own spending money look at a part time job, this is a great way to meet new people and gain confidence your independence being at college. Best of luck to you!
