Hello, Job!
When I was in high school, I wanted a music career. By the time I graduated, I realized that I enjoyed music as an avocation, but would not enjoy it as a vocation. I still wanted a business career that paid well and allowed me to be creative. It took many years to figure it out, but ultimately, I managed portfolios of stocks and bonds. Instead of arranging symphonies, I used my creativity to arrange financial assets for the needs of my clients.
Review the components of art that you know and love, and see if those components are transferable to one or more aspects of the business world. Be sure to get a good foundation in business studies and remember that successful businesses are always seeking new and better ways to do things. Creative employees make that happen.
Good luck!
Ken
Think about art. What is it that you like about it? What is it that you don't like about it?
Speak to people in various industries and tell them what interests you. See if your needs meet with their needs.
If you are not successful, keep trying. You may need to fine-tune your search.

An artist's way of thinking can sprinkle a dash of creativity into a business team. The way you tackle challenges, discover answers, and collaborate could be a breath of fresh air compared to your colleagues who might not share your artistic flair. I truly believe that for a company to shine brightly, it needs a colorful mix of employees from all walks of life to help propel their dreams into reality.

Job,
I think art is applicable in any field. Now as a profession it will depend on what you mean in your "thinking out loud" state. Most businesses or corporations are appreciative of the arts in general and fine art is dispensed throughout our business culture. I think having a well-round perspective on art is definitely a must in the business realm.
Depending on the business, you might become a leader of a creative team, a marketing team, or a foundation of the arts. My question back to you is what your goal is in pursuing a business field as a profession? That will answer what type of art is applicable.

Hi Job!
Yes, art is applicable to the world of business. Businesses need artists, designers, and graphic designers for their logos, advertising, products, in house communications, social media, and so on. Some businesses are large enough to have their own in house design studio and advertising department, while smaller businesses use independent advertising agencies and design studios. Think of any business, large or small, and think about how you learned about it, what you know about it, and what you know about what they sell. All that is the result of artists and designers working behind the scenes in areas such as product development, storefront or website design, and advertising.
On the other hand, art galleries and gift shops need the services of people with a head for business, such as accountants and money managers to balance their books and to keep them profitable. Same thing for museums, advertising agencies, design studios, fashion design houses, product design studios, community art centers, art schools, and so on. For any career or business or institution in the art world to be viable and successful, there has to be someone to manage the finances, even if it is the artists themselves..
So if you are a business-minded person who likes art, or if you are a art-minded person who has a head for business, you can find a career combining the two. Talk to your guidance counselor, or art teacher, or school librarian for some more ideas as to how to combine these two interests.
Best wishes!

Hello, Job !
I would like to give some advice about art in the business world. Although the words "art" and "business" are not specified in your question, we can take it on a very basic level. Otherwise, I would encourage you to ask more specific questions with the details that you want to know about.
You will not be called upon to use art in business in a very broad manner of speaking. Business deals with companies, the ability to make companies grow and maintain growth and financial success, analyzing ways to achieve that and lots of public relations, communication, persuasive and networking skills. Generally speaking. Art is not applicable in the business world and you will never be called upon to create art.
If you want to blend art and business, you would think about creating your own business for which you will create the business plan and create art as the product or service. That would be one way to be involved in both art and business unless you work at a large gallery or a museum at which you have an administrative position. Still, you would not be called upon to create art except if you open your own business.
You can very well do these two careers separately. Work in business during the day and do your art when you don't have to be at your business job. Many people do two careers at once and the two fields of work can be separate and both have equal importance.
My advice is to major in business and minor in art in college. It's great to have two interests and even though you may not blend the two on the job, you can always do both.
I hope that this is helpful and I wish you all the best !

Hello Job,
Incorporating artistic skills into business can bring a fresh perspective, enhance communication, and contribute to creating visually appealing and engaging experiences for customers and stakeholders. Here a just a few examples: Visual Communication, Branding and Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Advertising and Marketing, Storytelling and Presentations, Photography and Videography. I would say art is 100% applicable in the business field.
Best,
Julian

Job,
Yes, art is applicable in the business world. I studied commercial art at a vo-tech high school, and majored in business in college. Throughout my business career, I used my artistic creativity for big things like bringing innovative solutions to problems, to small things like choosing a color for a marketing brochure.
If you choose a career path in business, a company that has a creative culture could be a great fit for you!
