Whats the best way and strategy to get hired?
Other then work experience, what personal skill and attributes do you need to have the people hiring you like you the most? Is there a strategy to gettting hired? What is something you should do to prepare for an interview so they will like you the most? What are they usually looking for in an interview?

Great question Brock!
One of the best ways to stand out and impress those who interview you are to come prepared with questions beforehand such as:
-What's the best part of working at this company?
-What do you personally love doing in your day to day?
-How can I prepare and be the best employee possible?
Don't get me wrong, they will ask you a lot of questions as of course they are interviewing you. But don't forget it's a two way street and you can ask questions too (usually toward the end). It shows you are interested and are curious. Curious people are interesting.
Other tangibles - be confident, communicate your strengths with simple examples, and send a thank you letter after the interview. Prepare before the interview by having someone pretend they are the hiring manager.
Best of luck to you!

Hi Brock! When you are interviewing, make sure you prepare for your interview (do research on the company, gather questions regarding the position to show you are invested etc). When you are interviewing, be confident in yourself and your skills. A few common questions a recruiter may ask you are:
What do you know about *company title*?
What made you apply to *company title*?
Tell me about yourself and your experience?
Show the interviewer that you are curious. If they ask a question about something you don't know or don't have experience with - ask them where you can learn about that and gain those skills. Whether it is a online course or youtube videos.. interviewers love when candidates are willing to learn and be curious.

Hi Brock! Specific things your potential employer will be looking for in an interview will be dependent on the kind of job you are looking to get, but there are also many things that are relevant for a successful interview no matter what the industry is.
First off, I'd say learn more about the establishment you are interviewing with. It's good to know not only some general stats but also more of what the company is all about. Do they have a mission statement or company values listed on their website? Quite often, interviewers ask the reason you are applying to them and not somewhere else, and this is where your research will come in handy.
Another popular question you may be asked is to tell about yourself. It may seem easy at first: you know yourself better than anyone else. But when it comes to a job interview, it's important you are prepared. Think through what you are good at and what skills you have that will make you a great candidate for the job. Also, don't shy away from thinking about skills you may not have just yet. For cases like this, it would be good if you can explain how you can bridge these knowledge gaps.
Whether your interview is in person, online or over the phone, it's not all about the answers you provide but also about how you present yourself. Make sure you are on time. Make a list of questions you may be asked and practice answering them prior to the interview. You can also visualize yourself nailing that interview - visualization is a technique a lot of athletes use to achieve their performance goals.
I am wishing you all the best on your job search!
