Todd’s Answer

I did worked in a research lab in the zoology department, and volunteered with several different veterinarians.

Todd recommends the following next steps:

Approach a professor you like, or visit the Department office of your major, and ask if there are any laboratory jobs available for undergraduates. Call some of the local vets in private practice and ask if you can volunteer to help with their work for experience. You can also try any goverment or industrial institution that may have lab animals, & see if they have a mentor program. Keep trying, don't give up, good luck.
