If you have two classes back to back and one goes longer than usual, how are you supposed to make it to class and not miss any information?

I was wondering this because I never like missing any material in class, so this would be a problem for me. #Rushed #college #college-advice #time-management

Richard’s Answer

This never happened to me during my university years. But if classes or portions of classes are missed, just get the notes from another student. Some colleges record the lectures or you can even buy professional notes

Rachel’s Answer

You can talk to your professor for the class that goes over and just let them know you have to leave on time (even if they are still lecturing) because you have a class right after that one and it is making you late.

Avanti’s Answer

Hi Kendall,

You can always speak to the concerned professor to help you with the pointers he / she covered during the lecture.
If that is not a feasible option for you, you can always ask someone from the class to help you with the notes they may have taken down during the lecture - there always is someone in a class who takes down all the notes and points of discussion.

Hope this helps :)

Rachel’s Answer

This is not a common enough occurrence to worry about. If one class runs over, just walk in to the next class quietly and sit at the back. You can ask another student if you missed anything after the class is over.

Cheryl’s Answer

In college, unlike high more of the responsibility falls on you to make up the missed material. I would recommend you ask another person in the class that you were late, to share their notes. Sometimes it's good to explain to the professor afterwards why you were and explain your plan to cover if it happens again. I've found that other students are usually able to help out when asked.

Cheryl recommends the following next steps:

You could also to the professor at the end of the class and ask for a copy of their notes
Some classes publish a Syllabus at the start of the course, and those can be useful to figure out what you missed as well
