Hello, Josh !
You have chosen an amazing career to look into and it is also a fulfilling and needed career, too !
To find out the pros and cons of becoming an attorney, you can view an array of videos on You Tube of people telling you their experience with pros and cons of that field of work. I have left a link to the videos below. You should also read the information in a Career Village article for more information. I have left a link below for that.
There doesn't seem to be many negatives that I have personally observed with lawyers that I have known. It all looks positive to me. The one thing that I can think of are conditional factors that would depend on what type of attorney you become. Something I'd have to grab straws at would possibly be long hours and possibly student loan debt, but that will greatly depend on the person. Other than that, once you are working, I think you'd find that it is always interesting and people appreciate your services greatly.
Consider shadowing an attorney to get an idea of what it's like. There is a lot of paperwork involved and you may not be able to shadow during confidential meetings with clients, but it may be good to be around a law office to see how things are.
I hope that this has helped and wish you all the best !

Choosing a career path as a lawyer is rewarding, and has its challenges like any career. The pros/cons may vary depending on the area of law you will practice, but some that I think can apply across the board are as follows - Pros: helping people during an often difficult time; constantly learning/new experiences and questions to answer; different work opportunities...Cons: can be stressful; rigorous process to become a lawyer (law school; bar exam); expensive tuition for law school if you don't have a scholarship. Talk to others in this field to hear about their personal experiences (don't base your opinion on what you see/hear in TV/movies!) I personally practice family law - it is often stressful/emotional, but rewarding.

While I may not hold a law degree, I genuinely relish my role in Legal and Regulatory Project Management. Earning your law degree is a pivotal move, one I often contemplate. The nature of law you choose to delve into might demand a considerable amount of time and effort, but the payoff is undeniably rewarding. It opens up avenues for you to either establish your own practice or contribute to a law firm. The most exciting aspect? Each day presents a unique challenge, keeping your work life dynamic and stimulating. The choice of law specialization is yours to make, but remember, the world is your oyster! Embrace the journey and the opportunities it brings!

Hello Josh, choosing to become a lawyer comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. On the bright side, being a lawyer allows you to assist individuals who might not have the same level of understanding or resources, and it also offers opportunities for career growth. However, on the downside, the journey to becoming an attorney can be costly and time-consuming due to law school. Additionally, you may have to deal with long working hours and navigate through the complexities of the legal system.
