Don't be discouraged. Get together with a local artist/filmmaker/novelist/photographer/musician and see if they need help. I can't say if they'll pay or not, but the exposure to their knowledge, equipment, the environment, etc will greatly benefit you! I'm sure these artists would love your help, too. Before internships were a "thing", this is how "getting experience" worked! If this doesn't work out for you, talk to your parents/family about getting an internship in another town/city/state and if that is financially possible. If it means success in your career, they may be very supportive!

Hello Rokaria,

I face the same challenge as you do when looking for a new job within the same field. I study Game Art at Lawrence Technological University, and with their help, it is still a challenge. One way that I look at it is that I must look outside of where I live, or even the state. Don't be afraid of venturing out of your comfort-zone to achieve your goals. So long as they are reasonable and make sense. I commonly look at job board on LinkedIn, indeed, etc... and all the time the job are out of state. Sadly that is the reality of it but this should not discourage, you can do work outside the state and eventually start doing remote work. By that time, you'll have experience to look around for some jobs that might not be posted everywhere. Some jobs are not post on websites or social media pages. Once you get your foot in the door, you'll be able to connect with those who have leads for new jobs.

I hope this helps!
