Arianna, let me just congratulate you on your question, as being responsible is an essential quality for interior designers. We are not just creating beautiful rooms; we are also following codes and regulations that helps keep individuals safe. My advice for your:
1. Do what's right.
2. Follow your instincts, don't allow others to push you on a path that doesn't align with your values.
3. If you don't know, ask about it, research and research some more.
4. Keep yourself accountable on daily/weekly/monthly tasks. I love check marks at the end of the day!
5. Being creative is a big part of interior design so test your creative side and don't forget to have fun.

Hi Arianna!
How exciting that you're considering becoming an interior designer! It's an incredibly creative and rewarding field.
First and foremost, let me say it's fantastic that you're thinking about how to become more responsible to achieve success in this area. Responsibility is a fundamental quality for any career, but especially in interior design, where attention to detail and time management are crucial.
To become a successful interior designer, I encourage you to start by looking inward and discovering what truly excites you. What makes you light up when you walk into a room? Do you love playing with colors, textures, and lighting? Or perhaps you're excited about the idea of creating spaces that enhance the lives of the people who inhabit them? Discovering your passions will help you focus on what truly motivates you.
Don't forget to assess your strengths and areas for improvement as well. Are you creative and have an eye for detail? That's fantastic! But maybe you need to work on your ability to communicate your ideas clearly? Identifying these areas will allow you to grow and develop as a designer.
As an interior designer, you'll have the opportunity to work in a variety of exciting areas. You can specialize in residential design, creating cozy and functional homes for families. Or you can explore commercial design, helping businesses create spaces that reflect their brand and enhance the experience of their customers. And don't forget about sustainable interior design, where you can use materials and techniques that respect the environment.
Remember, it's okay if you make mistakes along the way to your career. Life is full of twists and turns, and sometimes you need to try different things before you find your true path. Stay open to new opportunities and keep learning and growing.
Lastly, stay up-to-date on market trends and how technology, including artificial intelligence, is impacting interior design. Staying informed will help you adapt as the industry evolves.
In summary, be honest to yourself, work on your skills, explore different areas of interior design, and remember that it's okay to make mistakes on the journey to success.
May the force be with you! ;)

First you should be task oriented, which means you are driven to complete a project or task before moving to the next . Focus on doing this now in your every day life and it will become second nature to you and more responsible to your clients and any projects you are working on. Good luck!

Hi Arianna, Here are some tips to help you become more responsible and prepare for a potential career as an interior designer. First, seek out opportunities outside your school—something with undergraduate colleges in the city that cater to school students. This could be volunteering, doing internships, or shadowing professionals in the field. You can explore different design styles and trends, visit museums, read some books like Architectural Digest and Interior Design Magazine, and follow design blogs like Archdaily and Dezeen. Lastly, familiarize yourself with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop, as they are commonly used in the industry to stay creative and keep communicating with peers. Interior designers closely work with people, and it is important to learn to communicate with everyone.
Hope this helps!
