HI Juliza,
I would hope that you are always nice to people, no matter who they are. It makes any interaction better.
And if you are being interviewed for a job, you should certainly be nice! You want them to like you and to want you as a colleague, right??
Good luck!

The meaning of 'NICE' can vary greatly from person to person. Remember, you don't need to be everyone's best friend to be an effective educator. Your primary role is to impart knowledge, not to win popularity contests. That being said, professionalism, expertise, and politeness are essential qualities to possess. If you're an introvert who finds social interactions draining, the role of an educator could indeed present some hurdles. But remember, every challenge is an opportunity for growth. So, embrace it with open arms and make the most out of it.

Hi Juliza,
In my personal experience, the best teachers are ones who are friendly, but firm. You want kids to want to come to your class, and not dread having to. That way you can pass on the knowledge that you have, and encourage them to explore more in that field. There will always be trouble kids and you will have to find your own way to deal with them, but making the class enjoyable I think is a major factor in it. And science/chemistry is a class that can be easy to make fun! (I know I grew up with Bill Nye and now I see TAMU physics and astronomy on youtube for some examples)
Good luck and happy experimenting!

You don't HAVE to be nice - but if you want people to like you, I would definitely encourage being nice. As the old saying goes "you attract more bees with honey than vinegar".
I appreciate you taking the time to answer this.
