I'm in middle school and I like art and cartoons, but i don't want to be a painter nor do I want to animate for actual cartoons, i've always wanted to be a Youtuber, what path should I take?
I'm in 7th grade, almost 14. My dream has always been to be a Youtuber, but I like art.

Good Luck! It is exciting to hear that you enjoy art and are good at it. You may want to consider assisting others to create their YouTube video thumbnails I know that there are a lot of individuals that find that difficult to do high-quality thumbnails and will seek out assistance. You can use your artistic ability to do this. I would look at what classes may be available for you to take in High School to assist you down this path.

I would say that you should go for online courses for filming/social media and try to learn the things you want to make videos about. Hope this helps.

Hi Hailey, that's exciting! I love that you're already exploring art and how to make it a career. If you're interested in being a YouTuber, consider how you can share art in that medium, on video. Create a channel and get started, don't be afraid to experiment and see what resonates with followers/watchers. Draw and share; share how you draw; share what inspires you; film yourself drawing and the process and share that as a video; consider integrating other art. Maybe you write poems and share them on your channel by reciting them. So many options but the biggest piece of advise - start now and experiment and build from there.

Hey there!
I think a good way to start is to start recording your process and posting it somewhere like Instagram or TikTok! Both of those places are great ways to start learning how to network and they are very friendly when it comes to uploading and quickly editing videos. I would also take notes on people you already watch draw (or find some people on Youtube or those other platforms and start watching how they make their content). If you think you have a process or a specific part of the making process that you find particularly fun, then record yourself doing it, and talk about it! People love to see processes and hear about how people make things.
And while likes and views can be appealing, always do this for yourself. This is a marathon, not a race. Don't expect to be an overnight sensation, but expect to make a channel/page a place you can feel happy posting to. Make the content you want to see/love to watch. As you begin to get the hang of things, you may want to start upgrading your equipment or your setup, but for now, just enjoy figuring out how you want to market yourself and share your artwork!
All the best of luck to you!

hello hailey,
if you're interested in working in animation, just not as an animator specifically, there is a multitude of other art related aspect to animation beyond the actual animation such as storyboarding, background artist, or concept artist.
and if you're still interested in youtube you can use art as a way to help your channel, such as posting videos of your drawing process (speedpaints) or talk about animated media & the like you enjoy.

Hello dear! It is impressive that you know how to draw/art. Art is really a matter of intelligence, not everyone can do this. But as you want to be an YouTuber, you should make this artistic side as your major hobby. Like this you can go for both.
