Hi Anchal. Good question! AP credits are absolutely a case-by-case basis for most universities. In other words, each university has a list of which credits they accept and which they don't. Try googling the college and "AP Credits" to see their policy, or give their admissions department a call to ask someone! Good luck!

Hi Anchal you can take many AP classes but for medical school it is Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Calculus that are more traditional, they should transfer to the college you attend. Double check with your guidance counselor and the college you will be attending or considering to attend as well; when you apply to medical school they will see that you took AP courses that transferred through your transcript.
Best of luck!

Med schools generally accept whatever your college accepts as a credit. I went to UT in Austin. UT accepted my AP calculus score, so all the med schools I applied to saw that A on my GPA and never questioned it.

In general medical schools want to see your performance in college to determine if you should be accepted into medical school. For this reason, the medical school prerequisites classes should be retaken in college so the medical school can see how well you do.
Typical medical school prerequisites include:
Biology: Lecture – 4 semesters; Lab – 1 semester
General Chemistry: Lecture – 2 semesters; Lab – 1 semester
Organic Chemistry: Lecture – 2 semesters; Lab – 1 semester
Biochemistry: Lecture – 1 semester
General Physics: Lecture – 2 semesters; Lab – 1 semester
Math: Statistics – 1 semester
English: Rhetoric (Composition) and Literature – 2 semesters
For all other classes, getting AP credit should be fine.
