Hi Bri!
It's so awesome that you want ot be a nurse. You can totally pursue being a nurse while still being in high school! I would recommend reaching out to hospitals near you and ask to volunteer. Most likely you'll be able to shadow a nurse and see what they do on a daily basis. When applying to different nursing programs, you can then reflect on these experiences and mention how they shaped your passion!

I had this same spark when I was in High School. Our school was luck enough to provide CNA or Certified Nursing Assistant classes. As a CNA you will cover many of the introductory information for nursing. It was a great hands on approach in the field of my interest. I believe these classes had a 16 year old requirement. Predominantly CNA's work with the elderly, which can give you more exposure to high quality practices since they are more susceptible to infection or disease.
