Thank you for your question. I am glad to hear that you have interest in Computer Science and STEM. Firstly, you can identify a time management tool to help you, eg your phone calendar, ms outlook, Google Calendar, etc
Below are my suggestions:
1. Put down the time you need to attend school classes
2. Assign time every day on your assignment, projects, etc. Also, have some time to do revision on the class material
3. You can then assign some to learn some programming every day. Think about some interesting projects, eg control a toy car, robotic arm, etc
4. Make sure you have enough sleep and do some exercise
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

To maintain motivation in computer science and STEM, try these tips: set clear goals, find your passion within the field, seek inspiration from others, continuously learn and stay updated, engage in hands-on projects, celebrate milestones, and prioritize self-care. Remember, motivation can fluctuate, and it's normal to have ups and downs. During challenging times, remind yourself of your passion and the reasons why you are interested!

Hi Anirud,
Really good question! Throughout your career, college and professional, you will find times when you seem to be unmotivated and that can feel daunting.
What helps me during those times is to challenge myself. I try to learn a new language, tackle a very challenging problem or work on something else. I am an avid woodworker so I have taken time to build a project. Then, I can return to my life refreshed and reinvigorated!
Know that those periods of lack of motivation will end and you can move on!
Good luck!

Hi Anirud!
Keeping motivation alive, especially when diving into the world of Computer Science, can sometimes feel like navigating through a labyrinth. But fret not, because there are some strategies to keep that drive alive and kicking!
First and foremost, always hold onto your initial inspiration. What drew you to the realm of Computer Science in the first place? Was it the allure of problem-solving, the potential to create groundbreaking innovations, or the chance to revolutionize industries? Whatever it was, keeping that initial spark alive can serve as a powerful beacon during challenging times.
Next, embrace the vastness of Computer Science by exploring its myriad facets. Whether it's delving into different programming languages, experimenting with emerging technologies, or embarking on exciting side projects, variety can inject fresh energy into your studies and reignite your passion for the field.
Additionally, seek out a supportive community of fellow enthusiasts. Whether it's joining tech clubs, attending coding meetups, or engaging with online forums, surrounding yourself with peers who share your passion can provide invaluable encouragement and inspiration.
And remember, it's perfectly okay to pause and recharge when needed. Burnout is a real concern, so listen to your mind and body, and grant yourself the rest and relaxation you deserve.
Ultimately, staying motivated boils down to finding joy in the journey, staying connected to your purpose, and embracing the ever-evolving landscape of technology.
So chin up, my friend, and dive headfirst into the exhilarating world of coding and computation! You've got this! 🚀
May the force be with you!

Hey there!
Everyone has shared some great advice. I wanted to go into the weeds and share some resources that I used as a computer science undergrad student to learn about the field and usually as I learnt more about these topics, I felt compelled and motivated to continue my journey in increasing my skills in the STEM field.
These are all the free resources that you can use -
Coding concepts/questions - https://www.geeksforgeeks.org
Tutorials on specific skill building - https://www.freecodecamp.org/
Practice coding and sharpen skills - https://leetcode.com/

Great question! For me, keeping motivated stems from the goals that I have. Have 1-2 short term goals helps in addition to 1-3 long term goals helps me immensely. There are reminders to me to keep working and never give up. Even looking back at how far I have come keeps me motivated because it reminds me of the hard work and knowledge I have gained that has propelled my path to this current point. Also I remind myself that my journey is my own and I try not to compare paths with other peers which helps in motivation and prevent me from feeling defeated.

Life, including work and school, is a roller coaster ride with its highs and lows, periods of intense drive and moments of lesser enthusiasm. The advice you've received so far should provide you with the tools you need. This message, in contrast, aims to be less detailed.
Remember, you've experienced dips in motivation in various aspects of your life before, and you've always managed to bounce back. This is a natural part of life, so don't worry if you don't always feel a surge of motivation in STEM or any other area. You've made it this far through your own efforts, and it's likely all you need to do is continue on the path you've been treading for years. Keep going, you're doing great!
