I recommend economics, finance, accounting and a behavioral science, you’ll be working with a variety of personalities. Certain jobs pay a salary plus bonus or commissions. Others, pay solely commissions, no limit on your income, but no guarantees.

Macroeconomics is a good place to start to help you determine what your focus is. Accounting will be critical and professional development is absolutely necessary for anyone in Finance.
The pay for Financial Advisors is often variable and commission based. Some firms will not be as interested in your earnings as they are with what business you leave with them should you fail. It is a very difficult business that requires a thick skin, but hugely rewarding if you’re passionate about what you do and remain ethical.

Depending on the college / university there are a variety of classes you would need to take to become a finance major. Likely somewhere in the range of 6-10 finance specific classes (ex: intro to finance, financial modeling, personal finance, etc.) Additionally, there are likely various accounting and economic classes that would be required as well. I'd suggest reaching out to the college you are interested in attending / currently attending.
