To start earning scholarships, research scholarships specifically if you are interested in the medical field. Keep your grades up and get involved in extracurricular activities related to healthcare. Write compelling essays that showcase your passion for the medical field. Ask for strong letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors. Remember, scholarships are competitive, so it's important to put effort into your applications and showcase your unique qualities and aspirations. Good luck in your pursuit of scholarships and your career in the medical field!

Hello, Alaina !
It is awesome that you have a few career path choices that you're thinking about and that you're interested in scholarships. It is indeed most beneficial to apply for them to get the extra financial support that all students can use. There are many scholarships that you can apply for and now is a good time to become familiar with them.
You will not be earning scholarships, rather you would apply for them and if you obtain them, that means that you were chosen by the sponsor, from numerous other students' applications, to receive the scholarship. The best thing that you could do right now is learn more about what scholarships are out there and which ones you qualify for. You will start to see that there are so many categories of scholarships and you will have a wide choice of which ones to apply for. My advice is to apply for every one that you qualify for.
Consider all the types of scholarships that are out there. There are some for academic achievement as evidenced by an outstanding GPA. There are even scholarships for average academic achievement, too. Other categories are ones for athletes, minorities, women, financial need, creative scholarships for students in the arts. Than there are unusual scholarships, like one for the best prom dress made of duct tape ! Sometimes individuals, businesses, local organizations or national foundations or groups give out these types of scholarships. There are also Community Service scholarships for students who have had a job or volunteer work doing community service.
I would suggest going to the Scholarship America website (link provided below). Click on their Student link and than browse scholarships. Than go to the Scholarship 360 website to find out about scholarships in Illinois if that's where you plan to stay and go to college. If you plan to go out of state, just type in a search engine "scholarships in . . . (whichever state)". The next tier would be to seek scholarships offered by Macoupin County for county residents. Again, you would need to do internet searches for specific information. Your current county has a variety of opportunities based on what a student would be majoring in. I have left a link below of the search results for the various opportunities. Than there are the thousands of scholarships offered nationwide to students who live in any state of the U.S. I have left a link below for that, too. These referrals should give you a good start and help you with the direction you need to go. As if that isn't enough, meet with your high school guidance counselor and ask about more scholarships. The more you apply for, the better your chances are of being chosen and awarded the scholarship.
Keep in mind that the scholarships come in all different dollar amounts, the applications have deadlines, you should apply for many, many opportunities because that will increase the probability of being awarded some scholarships. Keep a record of all the scholarships that you apply to so you will see your progress in applying.
I hope that this has helped and I wish you all the best !

The hospital/clinic I work for offers scholarships for employees. They'll pay for school. After you graduate you pay it back by working for them. For example, 2 years of radiology school you work for them for 2 years.
