Early in life, I strived for a better life than I experienced growing up. Eventually that turned into wanting to provide more for my kids than I had.
Once you know why, I recommend taking big things and making them small. If you have a class syllabus, you can take all of the reading you need to do and break it down. Reading a whole book is big, but reading 1 chapter a week is manageable. If you take things like this and break them into small pieces, you may find you aren't as overwhelmed.
You can also find an accountability partner; someone who is also looking to be better. Having likeminded people in your life can be a huge benefit when trying to stay disciplined.
