I found some interest below. I'm sure the admissions office can provide some individuals that are associated with many volunteer programs to align you with. It really comes down to your interest and what you enjoy.

Extracurricular Activities
The K-State Student Union. This is the campus center for social, recreational, educational, and cultural activities. ...
Union Program Council. ...
K-State Career Fairs. ...
Recreation Services. ...
Family Day. ...
Open House. ...
Athletic events. ...
Campus organizations.

Hello, Riley !

Congratulations on choosing Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas ! There is much to choose from in the way of being involved and meeting new people. It's wonderful that you are preparing for this in advance.

Kansas State University has rich opportunities for their students. Some of these include leadership opportunities, volunteering, doing research, clubs and activities, Sororities, and they even have an online portal called OrgCentral at which you can organize your activities or perhaps create your own major-based group. Look more into if you could create a group.

During your first week on campus, you can participate in the Activities Carnival during welcome week ! Some of the types of activities there are : Academic, Academic Competition Team (ACT), Community Service, activities involved in being in a sorority, being a student representative of your college or dorm, multicultural, religious and political activities, Special Interests, and Sports. So much to choose from !

You should involve yourself as much as possible with activity connected to your major as well as attend various entertainment from the music, dance and theatre departments. Treat yourself to the on campus galleries that show art from students as well as international artists. This could truly be considered a home away from home considering how much is offered !

Their offering of Majors is too numerous to mention and they even offer specific minors as well as certification programs. You will be very happy on this campus, I predict !

A good way to get an idea of the campus layout and various buildings is to attend an orientation tour at the college. You can obtain information and don't forget to make a visit to the Financial Aid office to discuss financial aid, scholarships and grants that may help you out with college costs.

I am happy to know that you have considered such an awesome university and I hope that this advice has been helpful ! Best wishes to you !
