One way is to become a generalist.
Think of it as the decathlon of art. Decathletes can do many events well, and are considered the best all around athletes in the world.
It is the same concept with art. In order to be a good artist, it is best to attempt to develop skills in many areas.
This includes painting, sculpture, watercolor, clay and metals, wood, prints, computer design, ceramics, and other artistic concentrations. There is a crossover effect, which helps in other areas of art and in overall skills development.

There are plenty of things you can do to improve your art skills.
1. Practice regularly: Set aside dedicated time each day or week to practice your art. The more you practice, the more you'll improve.
2. Experiment with different mediums: Try working with different art materials like pencils, paints, or digital tools. Exploring different mediums can help you discover new techniques and styles.
3. Study other artists: Look at the work of artists you admire and try to understand their techniques. You can learn a lot by analyzing their compositions, use of color, and brushstrokes.
4. Take online courses or tutorials: There are many free resources available online that can help you learn new techniques and expand your artistic knowledge.
5. Join art communities: Engage with other artists through online forums or social media platforms. Sharing your work and receiving feedback from fellow artists can be a great way to grow and learn.
As for limitations, it's important to remember that improving art skills takes time and patience. It's normal to make mistakes along the way, but don't get discouraged. Embrace the learning process and keep practicing. Everyone has their own unique artistic journey, so focus on your progress and enjoy the creative process.

I am an actor and therefore I am an explorer. Artists explore.
I have a facility in my neighborhood. It allows me to go in with my big sketchpad and my pencils, and do life drawing with models. It gives me great pleasure and allows me to be calm.
Explore. And then again, explore. Art is all around you.
Go and wander! Keep your eyes open, keep your ears open. Art is all around you.

To enhance your artistic abilities, first identify the specific skills you wish to develop and understand your learning style. The most crucial step is consistent PRACTICE. Numerous resources are available to aid your journey, including YouTube tutorial videos, instructional books, and community art classes. For instance, my local college previously offered complimentary live drawing classes, which could be a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with human figure sketching. Engage in art forms that ignite your passion, ensuring regular practice. This will pave your way towards artistic success.
