Where can you get a job as a Soil and Plant Scientist and how many jobs are available?
I'm looking into being a soil and plant scientist but I am unsure of the job outlook.

In 2022, there were over 17000 jobs for soil and plant sciences in the US, and the demand is expected to grow above average.
Soil and plant scientist have a wide range of employment options, e.g. in agriculture and forestry, in conservation and environmental sciences, in research and development, in federal agencies, in pest control and crop breeding, in chemical manufacturing and animal feed manufacturing and many more. You'll learn a lot of lab techniques as well, so you might be a lab technician. Soil and plant science also lends itself to consulting jobs, e.g. advising farmers.
