Where I do my community services hours ?

I keep asking in different places about if I can do my community service hours there and they keep saying that they don't do that . I want to know if you know some place that I can apply there and solve my situation. #work-ethic

Thank you comment icon Hello Jennifer, what are the community service hours for? Are they for a scholarship? Sam Seldon, P.E.

Even if your not in some of your school's clubs, try reaching out to them for where they have their members do service projects/hours. Lion's Club, Key's Club, and National Honor Society are some service organizations in my part of the country. See if they can refer you to anyone.

There are plenty places that need helps. In the United States, I am pretty sure you can go to a local library to volunteer. Sacred heart, food bank, church, hospitals. If the community is too small to have one of those, you can volunteer to help elderly buying groceries, grass cutting. Volunteering is wonderful and is one of the best job ever. Keep looking, it worth it.

Judy’s Answer

I agree and it depends where you live. I live in a small community but we have a senior center, library, youth groups, hospital, assisted living, food banks, etc. All look for volunteer help. You can be a 4-H or Girl scout leader. The opportunities are out there. I know it looks good on applications and resumes but it is rewarding as well. You probably have a social services office in your area. That might be a good place to start.
