Regarding internships for high school students
Hello, I'm Jensine. Currently a junior in high school (grade 11), Here is a brief introduction of who I am:
I'm a passionate individual who loves to learn. My dream job is to be a CEO. I hope to start a company in the near future, thus I'm looking for internships in social media, marketing, and sales. I enjoy math and business, but plan to major in business. I demonstrate leadership and am a great team player who always seeks the best result. Another thing is that I am hardworking and dedicated. No matter what the task is, or how hard it may be, I complete to the fullest of my abilities and produce the best outcome.
Here are my questions:
1. Do you have any internships for high school students that I may qualify for and relate to my interest? If so, please share, I would really appreciate that!
2. What documents would I need when applying? (ie. Resume, Cover Letter, Work Permit, etc.)
3. How should I prepare? Any tips? Is there a certain aura I should give off? (Should I remain professional + to what extent do I have to be friendly)
4. Anything else to keep in mind when applying + doing the internship?

Seeking Internships is an exciting way to gain experience and put your skills to work ! When advising about internships, my first tip is to contact various businesses in your area and inquire about possible internships. You will have to apply for those companies that offer them and the only way to find out is to visit or contact them directly. They may have something coming up for the summer, so it's worth connecting with them. If you read the summer internships offered in your area at Indeed (link is below) you will see that not many are in a corporate business setting and some will require a high school diploma, so all the more, I would call or visit various places and ask if they have any internships.
Keep in mind that an actual job would also give you experience. I have left a link below for Hire Teen so you can read their website which may be helpful. Read about some Pre-College Summer Business Programs at a link I have provided for you below. There's also the Business and Entrepreneurship Summer Program for High School Students (link provided below) which costs a few thousand dollars. I would also advise asking one of the business faculty as well as your guidance counselor about any internships that may not be posted on the internet.
To be prepared to apply for an internship, you should first obtain working papers at your high school administration office. Than you should prepare a resume, cover letter and letters of recommendation. During the interview, just be yourself. Eye contact, smiling and being relaxed would be fine. Just be yourself and part of being professional would mean dressing neatly and communicating confidently. Talk about specific accomplishments and try not to talk about yourself as being a leader, a team player or hardworking and give best results. Employers would find that out if you get the internship. They want to know specific details that will indicate your dedication, being a team player and leader. There are projects and experiences that you can tell them about that will indicate those traits.
I have left a link for tips about Internship Interviews below. Fast Web has some tips as well at https://www.fastweb.com/career-planning/articles/internship-interview-tips It may also be worthwhile to look up additional sites for some interview tips.
I hope that this is helpful and I wish you the very best !

I love your introduction by the way! Glad to hear what your dream job is; to be a great CEO, you would have to be open to work within different and fields (that you are passionate about of course) because when you do become CEO, you will have a lot of insight, and depending how big you company is, you’d be able to work well with any organization. To answer your questions
1 There may not be many *posted* interview for high school students, so I would say rely on family members or friends' family members, or even neighbors. It's how I got my first internship; my friends neighbor was very high up in a company, so I during a party, I simply asked (maybe begged). It's also important to note that he was not the first person I asked, so sometimes rejection is just redirection.
2: Have a resume, people don’t use cover letters like that used but have one handy regardless, work permit, and also have your elevator pitch ready
3: To prepare, do extensive research on the company or person you want to work for or with; be able to tell them why would want to intern there. As mentioned above, have your elevator pitch ready and make it witty enough to grab their attention.
4: As stated above, rejection is redirection, but ask for feedback and improved based on what was said if it makes sense to

With internship you start by applying to those places where you see there's potential of your career development, but have realized that small companies and organisations are the best to grow your career, as there your supervisor can become your mentor, you tend to learn how to start small, strategic thinking and plan implementation etc.
You only need to have a resume (l trust you know what to include and not to include in the resume) then you need a curriculum vitae. The immediate person to ask are your teachers, friends and parents.
Remember, during internship your developing your potential, as well as discovering your abilities, talents, also knowing your weakness and your strength.

Your resume should highlight your relevant skills, experiences, extracurricular activities, and achievements.
