Why does every job listing seem fake, never respond, or always seems to be going for people with 15+ years of experience?

Job applying tips, anything helps. I'd prefer something in any remote field, but it seems anything available is swiped up immediately or out of my experience range when it's just customer service.

There are some postings that seem fake, but the company may not hire immediately or the HR does not contact applicants that they feel are unqualified.

- Update your resume to cater to the position including relevant skills.

- Be persistent. Apply to jobs that you feel have a good chance for such as a summer job or with lower requirements.

- Practice interviews and prepare for common questions. This seems obvious, but if you have not practiced before, you may become nervous or lack examples to share.

- The job market is tighter since the pandemic caused many people to switch or leave their jobs. Each position likely has more applicants and HR screens resumes for certain requirements or keywords.

- Contact your friends/family to see if there are openings that are not posted online/job sites. They might be able to help you get a phone interview or help apply for entry level positions.
