Anavadhya, I believe you are asking where to study psychology (and perhaps also, how). I am unsure whether the CA means in California? Or if it is an anacronym for something else (as you live in India). I had to look this up- in terms of psychology being offered in Indian institutions. I live in the US, where psychology is offered as an undergraduate and graduate field of study at most colleges and universities. From the little I read online, it looks like psychology is also offered there as well; the way it is taught may be different. There might be more of an emphasis (or opportunity) to learn about the evolution of psychology in India, and the spiritual and cultural influences. I am guessing you may also learn about the history of the movement from a European and Western perspective as well. Some of the tenets will likely be similar. Yet I do not know enough to break this down and explain it in more detail. This question does make me curious to learn more! I did find out about a text called The Manifesto on Indian Psychology. It was published in 2002; it is significant because it highlights Indian indigenous practices and contributions that had not previously been widely recognized. I found a copy online for free just by entering the title into my online search engine. If you are wanting to study abroad, you might talk with your school's guidance counselor about how to do this. Schools in the US like to bring in a diverse student body, and this includes international students. There may be scholarships available for this purpose. Perhaps other students have looked at study abroad opportunities and you can learn from their decision-making process. I wish you the best on your journey! Where there is a will, there is a way!

Hi Anavadhya! Absolutely, psychology is offered as a professional course at various institutions. You can pursue a Bachelor's, Master's, or even a Doctorate in Psychology to become a professional psychologist. There are also professional organizations like the American Psychological Association (APA) that provide resources and accreditation for psychology programs. It's important to research and choose an accredited institution or program that meets your career goals and aligns with the requirements of the professional psychology field in country or state of interested. Best of luck!
