Hello Arshpreet!
It's fantastic that you're already considering scholarships in your Junior year - that's forward-thinking! Here are some scholarships usually open for high school juniors like you:
** National Merit Scholarship Program: This esteemed program rewards high school juniors who shine in the PSAT/NMSQT. Successful candidates may receive scholarships for their college education.
** Coolidge Scholarship: This comprehensive, four-year, merit-based scholarship is given to high-achieving high school juniors. It covers all the essentials - tuition, room, board, and other expenses for undergraduate study.
** Davidson Fellows Scholarship: This scholarship is designed for students under 18 who have accomplished significant work in fields like science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literature, music, philosophy, or even something out of the ordinary.
** Prudential Spirit of Community Awards: This program celebrates students from grades 5-12 who have positively impacted their communities through volunteer service.
** Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award: This scholarship supports exceptionally gifted young artists (ages 8-18) who demonstrate financial need.
** Discover Student Loans Scholarship: This is a $5,000 scholarship available to high school juniors and seniors who sign up to receive valuable tips on planning and paying for college.
** Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest: This scholarship welcomes all high school, college, and university students. It offers $10,000 for the most creative original greeting card design.
I'm confident there are plenty more out there just waiting to be discovered online. Remember to verify the eligibility criteria and deadlines for each scholarship, as these can differ. Wishing you the best of luck with your applications!
