Tristan there are many jobs working with animals aside from ones I've listed below, so in order to find the best one for you, it’s important to narrow down your choices. Do you want to study in order to have a career working with animals? Do you want to work with animals physically or in a research capacity? Do you want to work with domesticated or wild animals?
ANIMAL TRAINERS — Animal trainers work with pets to teach them various behaviours, from basic obedience commands to specialized tasks such as service or therapy work. They use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviours and address behavioural issues. Animal trainers may work independently, for training facilities, or in entertainment industries like film and television. While formal education is beneficial, practical experience and a deep understanding of animal behaviour are essential for success in this field. Animal trainers find fulfilment in helping pets develop skills and strengthen their bond with their owners.
PET GROOMERS — Pet grooming is essential to pet care, ensuring that animals look their best and maintain good hygiene. Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim nails, and style pets according to their owners' preferences. While formal education is only sometimes required to become a pet groomer, completing a training program or apprenticeship can enhance skills and job prospects. Many pet groomers work in grooming salons and pet stores or operate their businesses, enjoying the satisfaction of transforming pets into clean and well-groomed companions.
VET TECHNICIAN/TECHNOLOGIST — Veterinary technicians and technologists work alongside veterinarians to provide medical care to animals. They perform various tasks such as assisting with examinations, administering medications, conducting laboratory tests, and educating pet owners about proper animal care. Becoming a veterinary technician usually requires an associate degree, while technologists typically need a bachelor's degree. This career path offers hands-on experience with animals and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in their well-being.

I am not sure what area I am interested in. Likely, working with domestic animals alongside a vet would be a good start. I have my associates so I will look into this. But I now see there are many more options if I expand to animal studies that include wildlife care and protection. If you think of anything else, I am all ears!
