Hey Valentina,
Greek life can be a great opportunity to expose yourself to new opportunities and friendships in college. My personal experience was that it allowed me to be a leader both on campus and in my community. Greeks are held to a high standard for academics and on many campuses greek orgs will have higher GPA's than the campus wide GPA. So there are social, academic, and leadership opportunities. I'll also say that the network that it gives both on your campus as well as your national or international organization is a great benefit many years after you graduate.

Joining a sorority can be a very positive experience. I’m in a fraternity and it enriched my college experience and has helped me through out my life. It’s important to understand, while being in a sorority can be fun, you are in college to get your degree. Never lose sight of that. Good luck and God bless you!
