How can I find good internship opportunities as a high school student?

I have a Linkedin but all the internships require one to be currently pursuing a college degree but I'm still a senior in high school. I'm interested in UX Design and Computer science.

Some universities have internships opportunities for High School student in specific school of study. And honestly, tech companies don't worry about degrees so much. If you are ahead of the curve, be persistent, write a killer cover letter and have an awesome online portfolio and apply anyways. It also helps to know someone in the company. You can do that by joining professional organizations as a student and networking with the professionals who attend the meetings. Good luck!

Most of the opportunities you will find at this point in time will be volunteer positions. You don't currently have any experience in the field and usually college-students do these internships as entry-level grads. However, they have experience because they are either in college or graduated with a degree already. My advice is basically look for volunteer opportunities online in the field you are interested in. There may even be online-based internships/volunteer opportunities in your field. However, there are usually not internships for high school students. You can, however, volunteer your time in any way that you want to. That being said, find a volunteetr opportunity that aligns with the skill, practice, and field of study you are interested in. A clear-cut "internship" per se, may not be what is available to you at this age, but that does not mean you cannot gain experience.

Since most internships would try to provide you with real-world projects and experience, probably as a high schooler, it would be challenging since you may not have the necessary skills and theoretical knowledge required but that does not mean it's not impossible or you do not have options. For example, at our company and I know many other corporations do this too, is we provide a one week summer orientation focused on high schoolers interested in STEM related majors. It is unpaid but it provides an opportunity for you to experience what it's like to work in a corporate technology company. We provide you with project work with other high schoolers, you do scrum meetings, have roles within your project team, etc. But also throughout the week, we provide career advice, resume advice, discuss topics like project management, etc.
Try to find some of these kinds of opportunities where you can get your foot into the door, into this topic and hopefully secure the internship with that company when you start university.

Wishing you all the best!

Hi Avni!
Looking for volunteering online seems a good option, or even building yourself a portfolio of pet projects (projects that you come up with the idea and implement for yourself, independent on anybody else having asked you to do them).
And if you want to take a step forward, you can try to talk with a teacher of related subject (or that you think can be particularly helpful) or even your principal. It would be a great achievement if you can have the school back you up in your search. Maybe even create an official club/group where the school helps interested students with the liaison with interested companies and colleges.
