Dear Austin,
Thanks a lot for asking this question.
Public two years colleges would offer Animal Science programs at a more affordable cost.
I am pasting below a list of private and public two years colleges that offer the Animal Science major with the "Cost after Financial Aid" and "In-State Tuition" information.
I hope this information would be helpful to you. You could go on these colleges website to obtain more information about their Animal Science Program.
Good luck with your search for a satisfying school with an Animal Science major.

Hello, Azia !
An important factor in choosing a college would be to pinpoint your career goal within Animal Science and review information from various schools' websites. Compare them and see which one has the most appropriate program that will prepare you for your career goal. While evaluating colleges, remember that there are scholarships and grants that you can apply for, many of which can help you go to a college that would be best for your career.
You can read the websites of and take notes on the information of some colleges that offer the Animal Science major. I suggest looking into Texas State University, University of Texas in Austin, Tarleton University, and Texas A & M. They all offer a degree in Animal Science. First find the best animal science program for what you want to do in a career, and then look into financial aid for the tuition and other expenses. Do not forget that there are scholarships, too. I have left a list of links for you below with resources for scholarships.
My advice is that if your passion lies within the animal science field, first see which college offers the best program and do all you can to enroll in it. Meet with the financial aid office on the campus you choose and discuss your entire situation. They could also advise you on the scholarships that the particular college offers students. Do not hesitate to visit or call the college and ask specific questions and than update that information closer to the time you will be enrolling. Try not to cut corners or speed things up because you deserve a rich and full academic path for a wonderful career.
Best wishes to you in all you do !
