How to get special accommodations for the Bar Exam?

My daughter graduated from LSU in Louisiana with a 4.0, did three extra years in veterinarian school, has a completed veterinarian classes with another 4.0, and can’t pass the bar exam.

Anyone out there have answers of how she can take the exam in two days instead of all in one day because she has ADD?

Each state has its own bar, and thus its own bar exam. A quick google show the bar in my home state says:

"Fully completed ADA requests for testing accommodations and repeat accommodations MUST be submitted with your electronic bar exam application, pursuant to Regulation 10 of Rule 8.08. This means ALL forms and supporting documentation must be uploaded to your user home page with your application submission. Requests for accommodations which are not complete or not timely filed shall be rejected. Extensions will not be granted and late requests will not be considered."

I'd suggest they search for their home state's bar website and see what they require/allow.

With an accommodation request, think through what specifically your child may need and confer with her diagnosing medical professional as needed. If you are not sure what might be helpful for success, the website www.askjan.org has examples of common, reasonable accommodations for different types of accommodation reasons (physical, behavioral, etc.).

Best of luck!

Start collecting information regarding your daughter's medical condition. Such as medical documentation, previous accommodations from other schools and exams etc. Have your daughter reach out to her Law Schools disability services for any resources. Also get your accommodations application in as early as possible to have time to contest it should you get denied. Good Luck!
