What are some things I should try so I can get a better idea of what career I want to pursue?
No matter what I do, I know my goal in life is a career that allows me to help people, not just something corporate if it comes to that.

However apart from that I would advice you to start by picturing your future self, not just in a job, but in a role where you wake up each day feeling purposeful and fulfilled. Listen to your inner voice. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s easy to overlook our gut feelings. Pay attention to what excites you and what makes you feel genuinely happy. These emotional cues can be really powerful guides.
On top of that you can always reach out and connect with people who inspire you. Ask them about their journey, their challenges, and what keeps them going. These conversations can be eye-opening and affirming, while offering insights you might never have considered.
Last but not least, remember that this journey is not just about finding a job; it’s about discovering a path that feels authentically yours. If you haven't yet, start volunteering for a variety of organizations. Find events or activities where you might only need to spend a few hours such as serving meals to the homeless, helping set up events, organize a food drive, etc. You will have an opportunity to gain skills and experience which will be helpful on a future resume as well as make connections with others who might have similar goals and will help you reach them.
