What are some good free internships for an aspiring CS major?
I am looking to make good use of my summer time, and so an internship (perhaps online?) would be great, but I need a good fit. I need a solid science/tech related internship to help me out for college apps. Thanks!

Ask around your family or neighborhood for opportunities! For example, that small restaurant near you might be in need of a website. You should also reach out to college professors as many of them take high schoolers as research assistants

At present, it's June, and the majority of high school internships are usually selected in the months of March and April.

Hi Arc,
I think it's great that you're getting a head start on your college applications this summer! Libraries, schools (including your own), city government, and local businesses in your neighborhood may have volunteering or internship opportunities. Some places also offer certificate workshops/bootcamps specifically for students!
As others have said, great places to start your research are your school/college website, LinkedIn, Indeed, and other job portals. I would like to add asking your fellow students! Ask any of your friends or classmates if they've have landed an internship, what company they're interning for, and if they would be willing to refer/recommend you. Your teachers may also know of some opportunities. These are great ways to narrow down your search.
Good luck Arc, enjoy your summer!
