How can I achieve my dreams?
I have tried several times to seek funding and have also approached individuals, but I haven't been successful. It's also very difficult to secure funding here in Tanzania, especially for those of us studying at the diploma level. Most funding opportunities are geared towards students pursuing degrees. If you can directly connect me with an organization that provides funding, I would greatly appreciate it.

Maybe investigate the Tanzanian Embassy too. They may know of programs or grants that provide talented Tanzanians the opportunity to be seen by a wider audience.

Sleep is another essential aspect of your well-being. It helps strengthen your immune system, reduce stress, and boost your focus, especially on your studies. Did you know stepping outside can do wonders for your mental health? The fresh air and sunlight can boost your mood and concentration by increasing the release of serotonin, a hormone linked with happiness and calmness.
Don't forget to set aside some time for fun! Engaging in activities you enjoy, be it pursuing a hobby, working on a creative project, or having dinner with your partner, can positively impact your well-being. This, in turn, can enhance your academic performance. Remember, if you ever feel overwhelmed or mentally strained during your studies, don't hesitate to seek help from a professional therapist. It's a healthy step towards ensuring your mental well-being.

Here's a roadmap to help you realize your aspirations:
Securing Funds:
Target Scholarship Programs: Although diploma students may not be the primary focus, scholarships are still available. Investigate scholarships offered by:
The Tanzanian government: Check out the Tanzania Higher Education Students' Loan Board (HESLB) scholarships or delve into programs specific to your region (Kilimanjaro).
International bodies: Look for scholarships from NGOs or foundations that champion education in Tanzania.
Your school: Some colleges or universities provide internal scholarships for diploma students.
Showcase Your Accomplishments: When applying for scholarships, put a spotlight on your academic success, extracurricular activities, and community engagement. This presents your potential and raises your chances of selection.
Alternative Ways to Fund:
Freelancing or Part-Time Jobs: Check out online freelancing platforms or find part-time jobs in Moshi that match your skills and passions. This can provide income to back your studies.
Fundraising Through Skills: If your aspirations involve a particular skill (like music), think about demonstrating that talent. Arrange performances or create online content to generate funds.
Crowdfunding: Platforms such as GoFundMe can assist you in gathering funds from a broader network of individuals who support your aspirations.
Extra Resources:
Tanzania Education Website: https://tenmet.or.tz/ (This site might have scholarship opportunities)
Helina Trust Fund: https://www.vinetrust.org/fundraising/browse (Aids Tanzanian students, particularly girls, in pursuing higher education)
Remember: Consistency is crucial! Don't lose heart if your first attempts at securing funds don't succeed. Keep applying, explore various options, and polish your strategy.
While I can't directly link you to a specific organization or sponsor, the advice above should prepare you to locate the resources you require.

1. WeMakeScholars: They offer a variety of scholarships, fellowships, and grants for Tanzanian students, including those at the diploma level.
2. ScholarshipTab: This platform lists fully funded scholarships for Tanzanian students, which might include opportunities for diploma students.
3. UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education: This scholarship is open to Tanzanian students and could be a good fit depending on your field of study.
You might also want to explore local NGOs and community organizations that support education. Sometimes, smaller, local organizations can provide more personalized support.
I hope this helps. Lots of luck to you on your journey to success!

As per my last response to you, I had referred you to a few resources for scholarships and assistance. You said that you are in your second year of pursuing a DIPLOMA in nurse midwifery. But here you say that the scholarships are only for those pursuing a DIPLOMA. I think that the resources I referred you to in my first response were benefits that could authentically help you in your financial need as you ARE someone who is in college working for your diploma. I will list the previous resources again here, but there may be others, too.
Look into the Thurgood Marshall Fund, the school of Saint Jude in Tanzania provides education and healthcare to students in that region and you can contact them to see which place near you provides the same. Also contact the Young African Scholars at the link I left below as they have a lot of information and resources. The issue that becomes evident to me is that there are few assistance programs geared to the area in which you live. In that case, you may want to consider relocating to an area that provides full funding for your education. Do not give up. You can and will find a way to make it work. Also consider going to the jobs and benefits office at your school.
Even though Career Village is not a sponsorship website, there are two donations websites that you can list yourself on : Give, Send, Go and Go Fund Me. I would advise to not leave your phone number on random websites while you are seeking financial assistance. I have left a link for you for a website that has information and referrals to more funding websites. Keep in mind that they charge a fee but Give, Send, Go asks for a donation of any amount you can give.
The financial assistance for your college is not going to happen overnight, so it must actively be worked on with patience and if you later intend to create a dispensary in your community, the research you will do now for funding your education will provide you with needed research skills that you will also use later on. Just do not give up and do maintain your values and integrity as you choose which funding to accept. Perhaps one of the staff at your college can assist you side by side with this, if not, reach out to any social service for assistance. If still there is nothing, consider relocating to where there are services and assistance for you and continue your studies at a college that will provide for your needs.
In any event, do not give up. Push forward and again, I wish you all the best !
