What universities are good for biology (or STEM) majors?
Hello, I am a 17-year-old rising senior in high school and am looking to apply to colleges. I have a few colleges on my list but am hoping to add some more. I wish to major in biology and take on a career in STEM so am searching for colleges with a strong STEM program.

Hi, Jin, this is a great question and Payal has given excellent advice. Below, I have added links to two other lists of colleges/universities with robust STEM programs. These lists put very competitive colleges at the top, but fortunately, many institutions have strong biology departments.
If you are particularly interested in research, search for institutions with programs for undergrads to conduct research. While that may be possible at many, you should focus on the ones that emphasize it. If you are interested in public health and/or medicine, you should also look into what internships and community activities might be available in those areas. You might find the latter under community, civic engagement, or experiential learning.
