What career paths exist for improving supply chain infrastructure in developing countries?

My dream job is to one day help developing countries improve their supply chain infrastructure to help build economic capacity in their country. I am currently a Supply Chain Management Major and am working on obtaining a minor in French. I am looking for advice around how to pursue this goal and what future jobs should I look at, since I do not know what is the correct job title for this role.

Hello Kayden,

You have the potential to excel in roles such as a Supply Chain Consultant, International Development Specialist, or Logistics Coordinator. These positions can be found in impactful organizations like NGOs, the United Nations, and the World Bank, all of which are instrumental in driving economic development.

To achieve this goal, consider gaining valuable experience through internships, volunteering, or student projects. This will provide you with the practical skills needed for these roles. Additionally, deepening your understanding of the challenges and needs of developing countries will strengthen your capabilities.

Building connections within the International Development Community can also be a significant asset. This network can provide additional support and opportunities to help you realize your career aspirations. Remember, every step you take brings you closer to your goals. Keep going, and success will surely follow.
