You can succeed at anything you are willing to put hard work, time, and effort into. Healthcare is an excellent career path because it has job security like none other; no matter what happens with the economy, politics, trends, etc. people will always need healthcare! Healthcare is a caring field; you must enjoy caring for others or else you won’t be a good healthcare professional. Healthcare is draining, even when you are good at it. It’s exhausting to have so many people depending on you every day and to listen to every detail to their lives, even when it’s not relevant to their appointment. But it’s rewarding; you go home every day knowing that you changed someone’s life for the better. The money is also there. Nurses make anywhere from $40,000 - $80,000 a year (based on my knowledge from others I know) depending on whether they are LPN’s, RN’s, or RN-BSN’s and where they work, as well as what shift they work. Healthcare has a lot of room for a flexible schedule. You can work days, evenings, nights, weekends, weekdays, etc. You can also travel if you would like. Being a doctor is a much larger commitment. It requires 6-8 years of education as well as residency when you won’t make any more than anyone else, despite being a doctor! Eventually the money comes, but you have to pay off student loans. However, you can truly make decisions to positively impact your patient’s health. You can order the right lab work or prescription. You can even become a surgeon and save lives through surgery. Regardless of what path you choose, healthcare is a life changing career, for you and your patients. Your bills will be paid. And you will probably love what you do, even on the bad days.

Healthcare is an excellent career path because it has job security like none other; no matter what happens with the economy, politics, trends, etc. people will always need healthcare! Healthcare is a caring field; you must enjoy caring for others or else you won’t be a good healthcare professional. Healthcare is draining, even when you are good at it. It’s exhausting to have so many people depending on you every day and to listen to every detail to their lives, even when it’s not relevant to their appointment. But it’s rewarding; you go home every day knowing that you changed someone’s life for the better. The money is also there. Nurses make anywhere from $40,000 - $80,000 a year (based on my knowledge from others I know) depending on whether they are LPN’s, RN’s, or RN-BSN’s and where they work, as well as what shift they work. Healthcare has a lot of room for a flexible schedule. You can work days, evenings, nights, weekends, weekdays, etc. You can also travel if you would like. Being a doctor is a much larger commitment. It requires 6-8 years of education as well as residency when you won’t make any more than anyone else, despite being a doctor! Eventually the money comes, but you have to pay off student loans. However, you can truly make decisions to positively impact your patient’s health. You can order the right lab work or prescription. You can even become a surgeon and save lives through surgery. Regardless of what path you choose, healthcare is a life changing career, for you and your patients. Your bills will be paid. And you will probably love what you do, even on the bad days.

Hello Hazel, try to focus on your passions, goals and personality type. You have to think about what's gonna give you that urge to get up and go at your career everyday. Consider what work environment works best for you and what truly makes you happy. Really do your research on your career field of choice; utilize social media platforms and lookup actual reviews from individuals in your professions of interest. I really hope success finds you.
