Hello Gavin,
In the United States, there are two ways to become a professional football player. These are to play in an academy or in college. To play in an academy you will need lots of money since you pay for playing in an academy as well as other expenses (food, travel, rehab, etc…) It’s unfortunate but it’s the harsh reality. Also, to play for college, it is best to have some experience playing in high school since most high schools in the USA have video footage of games. Make sure you study well and get good grades regardless of what path you will take. Especially because college coaches want to see you do well academically, and colleges have a GPA minimum for accepting athletes. So, don’t just depend on how good of a player you are. It is important to focus on other aspects. For example, Lamine Yamal is 16 years old and he is a great student first and also a great player. The rest is believing and being disciplined. Good luck.

In the US you can go the High School then college route to work on your skills. There are also leagues https://texasclubsoccer.com/ and development academies https://www.ussoccer.com/talent-identification that are very competitive.

If you're extremely talented then maybe also explore European club's development leagues.
