Hello, Sanilia !
It is wonderful that you are approaching your A/L and I would like to give some advice for you about obtaining a remote job and something to think about for studying. Don't underestimate your studying habits, you are probably working on it daily, but what exactly do you want to improve about it ?
There are many websites online to search for remote work. My advice would be to try to stay with work from countries that have the same money (Rupee) as your country so there's no extra steps you'd have to take to receive foreign pay. Countries that use your same currency are India, Indonesia, Mauritius, Pakistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Seychelles. Search for remote work that is based in these countries. I have left some employment website links for you below. You can also do searches for data entry and customer services jobs because there are some for remote work.
I am not sure what you want to improve about your study habits, but studying takes dedication and time. I am not sure what you are studying from, but if it's from books, have someone quiz you on the chapters to see what you need to concentrate on more. Your study schedule is important and should be done a little at a time each day. Make yourself a schedule for the subjects and time periods for how long you need to study for individual subjects.
There does not seem to be any study guide books or sample tests for the A/L exam. You may want to ask one of your teachers or academic counselors if there is such a study guide and sample exam available to study from. To add motivational structure to your studying, you may consider forming a study group with a few classmates or a one to one study with one classmate. If you know you have a time to meet with someone, you will be taking active steps to study. If possible, ask teachers or someone who has taken the A/L exams what the structure of the tests are. Ask if any essay writing is involved and if there is, practice your writing so that you will be used to writing. Also, writing out information about the subjects you are studying will help you retain the information. You should also seek resources from the British Council Library Services because they can provide you with information and test dates. I left a link to their website for you below - they have a live chat on their website that may be helpful.
I wish you the very best with your preparations for your exams. I think that you will do well and then it will be on to your next step towards college which will be most exciting !

Hello Sanilia!
Finding a Remote Job as a Student
Finding a remote job while preparing for your A-level exams can be a great way to earn some money and gain valuable experience. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you navigate this process effectively.
1. Identify Your Skills and Interests
Before you start searching for remote jobs, take some time to assess your skills and interests. Consider the following:
Skills: Are you good at writing, graphic design, programming, data entry, or social media management? Identifying your strengths will help you target the right jobs.
Interests: What subjects do you enjoy? If you’re interested in accounting, for example, look for remote internships or part-time positions in that field.
2. Create a Professional Resume and Cover Letter
Having a well-crafted resume and cover letter is essential when applying for jobs. Here are some tips:
Resume: Highlight your education, any relevant coursework, skills, and any previous work experience (even if it’s volunteer work). Keep it concise—one page is usually sufficient.
Cover Letter: Tailor each cover letter to the specific job you’re applying for. Explain why you’re interested in the position and how your skills make you a good fit.
3. Utilize Online Job Platforms
There are numerous online platforms where you can find remote job listings suitable for students:
Freelance Websites: Websites like Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer allow you to offer services based on your skills. You can create profiles showcasing what you can do.
Job Boards: Websites like Indeed, Glassdoor, and Remote.co have sections dedicated to remote work opportunities. Use filters to narrow down your search based on job type and industry.
Social Media: LinkedIn is an excellent platform for networking and finding job opportunities. Make sure your profile is complete and professional.
4. Network with Professionals
Networking can significantly increase your chances of finding a remote job:
Join Online Communities: Participate in forums or groups related to your field of interest on platforms like Facebook or Reddit.
Connect with Alumni: Reach out to former students from your school who may be working in fields that interest you. They might know of openings or be able to refer you.
5. Apply Strategically
When applying for jobs:
Tailor Applications: Customize each application based on the job description. Use keywords from the listing in your resume and cover letter.
Follow Up: After submitting applications, consider sending follow-up emails after a week or two if you haven’t heard back.
6. Prepare for Interviews
If you get called for an interview:
Research the Company: Understand their mission, values, and recent developments.
Practice Common Questions: Prepare answers for common interview questions such as “Tell me about yourself” or “What are your strengths?”
7. Manage Your Time Wisely
Balancing work with studying requires effective time management:
Create a Schedule: Allocate specific times during the week dedicated to studying versus working.
Set Priorities: Ensure that exam preparation remains a priority while managing work commitments.
By following these steps diligently, you’ll increase your chances of securing a remote job that fits around your studies while also helping fund your A-level exams.
