Please don't. AI is a machine. It is not human and cannot comprehend what feelings are. If you let AI choose your major, there is a very good chance that you won't enjoy it. Go based on what YOU yourself enjoy doing. THAT should be what you study. As soon as you bring in unfeeling machines that don't understand much except for the information it was fed, you are living solely based on automated things. That is not life. Live for emotion. Live for your enjoyment. Live like a human.

While artificial intelligence has its merits, remember, it's still a machine, producing algorithm-based responses within seconds of receiving a question. It lacks the human touch. This is why it's crucial to seek advice from a school or college guidance or career counselor. Engage in several 30-60 minute dialogues with your counselor, designed to stimulate self-reflection. Revisiting these discussions will be beneficial.

I encourage you to maintain a journal, jotting down your thoughts and ideas, particularly in the morning. Pay attention to your reactions to different human behaviors and professions. Perhaps you visit a post office, a health clinic, or accompany a loved one to an insurance company or a real estate agent's open house. Observe people, imagine yourself in their roles. Does it captivate you or bore you?

I also suggest conducting an informational interview with someone who is in a job that appeals to you. Monitor your likes and dislikes, what motivates you from within (like passion) or from outside (like money, fame, or social standing), and identify the things that bring you happiness and those that don't. Record these observations daily for at least two weeks. During this period, resist the urge to review what you've written.

After 14 days, revisit your journal to identify recurring themes and keywords that resonate with your preferences and aversions. This is an excellent first step towards self-discovery. Be kind to yourself: take a quiet walk, free from distractions like headphones, music, or podcasts.

I fully support and recommend one-on-one human interaction. Human communication is comprised of more than 75% body language (visual cues). While AI may be useful in some ways, however, it is a computer, a robot that spits out logarithm-generated answers seconds after you posed a question. It has no soul. This is where you need to seek a consultation from a school or college guidance/career counselor. These should be multiple, 30-60-minute conversations with your counselor. These conversations are to serve the purpose of engaging you in self-reflection. You will need to revisit these conversations. I suggest that you start a journal and write in it everything that comes to mind, in the morning especially. Take note of your thoughts and reactions to certain human behaviors and professions. Maybe you go to the post-office or a health clinic or accompany a family member to an insurance company or an open house held by a real estate agent. Observe people and visualize that you are the person doing their job. Does it fascinate you or bore you to death?I also invite you to perform an informational interview with someone who is engaged in doing a job that you feel you would like. Perform a self-observation of what you like and dislike doing, what motivates you intrinsically (from your heart) or extrinsically (e.g., money, prestige, or social status), and notice the things that bring you joy and may not appeal to you. Write these observations for at least two weeks (every day). Do not revisit what you had written during these 14 days. After 14 days, return to your journal to find some common themes and keywords that relate to your likes and dislikes of certain things and phenomena. This is a good start to self-discovery. Be good to yourself: take a solitary walk (no headphones, no music, no podcasts etc).
