Fred’s Answer

I'm sure there are plenty of places online you can find a more detailed answer, but my basic understanding is:
high school (4 years)
undergraduate (4 years)
Medical school (4 years)
Residency and/or internship (guessing 3-6 years)
Ortho may be a specialty, which may require additional training

Somewhere in there, you'll have to pass the medical boards as well.
