Total Duration
Without Fellowship: Approximately 13 years from the start of undergraduate education to the end of residency.
With Fellowship: Approximately 14-15 years, depending on the length and focus of the fellowship.

I'm sure there are plenty of places online you can find a more detailed answer, but my basic understanding is:
high school (4 years)
undergraduate (4 years)
Medical school (4 years)
Residency and/or internship (guessing 3-6 years)
Ortho may be a specialty, which may require additional training
Somewhere in there, you'll have to pass the medical boards as well.
