Ava, it's important to remember that as a high school sophomore taking AP classes and aiming to be a surgeon, you need to make good use of study resources. These will help you fully grasp the material and build solid study habits. Here's a list of reliable websites that can help you reach your academic targets:

1. Khan Academy (khanacademy.org): This site offers detailed tutorials and practice exercises for a variety of subjects, including AP courses. It's a great tool to reinforce concepts and deepen your understanding.
2. AP Classroom (apclassroom.collegeboard.org): This site offers official resources from the College Board, such as practice questions, study guides, and personalized feedback on AP subjects.
3. Quizlet (quizlet.com): This platform encourages active learning with flashcards and study games. It's a great way to test your knowledge and quickly review essential terms and concepts.
4. Coursera (coursera.org): This site offers online courses and lectures from top universities. It can supplement your AP coursework and give you insights into medical and science-related topics.
5. Wolfram Alpha (wolframalpha.com): This powerful tool can help you solve mathematical problems and understand complex concepts. It's especially useful for AP calculus and science courses.
6. CrashCourse (YouTube Channel): This channel provides engaging, short videos on a range of subjects, including AP topics. It's a good way to reinforce your learning through visual and auditory methods.
7. The Official AP Study Guide (available on the College Board’s website or for purchase): This guide offers detailed information on AP exam formats, practice questions, and scoring guidelines.

Remember, Ava, by using these resources in your study routine, you can develop effective study habits, remember information more easily, and better prepare for both AP exams and your future medical career.

Brianna’s Answer

The answer to this question really depends on the person. Everyone studies differently because different ways work differently for different people. What I found works best for me was using quizlet to make study sets/flashcards for classes that were focused on memorization. Within quizlet I would use their learn section when I first started going over the material. When I felt comfortable with the material I then started to take exams on the website. You can customize the exams to be catered toward how your exams would look like, t or false, multiple choice, fill in the blank, matching, etc. It even allows you to add pictures which I found helpful for science classes like biology and anatomy. Overall, I found using quizlet helped me memorize things in a way that I remembered the information for longer.

Use Quizlet

Hi, Ava, I agree with Namita and Brianna's comments. In addition, I added a link below to other free College Board resources.

I would ask your teachers as well. They may recommend a commercial resource, such as Barron's or Kaplan, who would offer both printed and web versions.

Whatever you use, get used to a study system early. Not only will that help you study for tests in school, but it will help in review for the AP exam itself at the end of the year. My children took a lot of AP classes. Their teachers were generally very good but few, if any, were able to cover all the content. So having a system to cover what you missed in class will be important.

Good luck!
