What do I do if I can't remember the names of the institutions where I did my internships?

I have a master's degree in Criminal Justice. I want to add the internships I did while in grad school and I can't remember the names of either institution. Also, this was back in 2007 in Puerto Rico and I don't even live there anymore. My dream is to finally have a career that aligns more with my graduate degree. I have been working for the school system due to circumstances out of my control. One of the internships was at a prison and the other one was at a residential facility for minors. I wish I could add them to my resume. Thank you!

Hi Amy ,
I can suggested few things First of all you should contact your formate Graduate school

1- Contact Your Former Graduate School or the career services office at your former graduate school in Puerto Rico. They may have records of your internships or could help you locate the institutions.
2- Reach out the people you worked during your internship try contacting them for assistance. They might remember the names of the institutions or have records of your internship.

Agree with Swarna. If that isn’t an option, you can always just list the experience and what you learned without naming the actual facility. Not ideal, but the knowledge is what matters.

Hi Amy - you have gotten good advice, but a few thoughts:
- Do you have any emails from then that you could search?
- Have you tried Googling prisons and residential facilities for youth (or variations of this) in Puerto Rico? If you see the name, you may recognize it.
- Have you asked relatives and close friends from then? They may remember even if you don't.
