Hi,Scott
Here are a few of those options for you to find something somewhat valuable internship or part-time job opportunities:

Remote Opportunities
Digital Marketing Intern: Create value in running social media, creating content, and analyzing results. Many startups and agencies hire remotely.
Virtual Assistant: Do all the administrative tasks, data entry, or customer service from a remote location.
Software Development Intern: Participate in coding projects, software testing, and development with companies that offer virtual internships.
Content Writer/Editor: Develop or edit content for websites, blogs, or marketing materials. Many of these jobs are offered virtually.

In-Person Opportunities in Mesa, AZ
Local Government Internships: Check with the city department or local government office for a specific internship that may help build experience with public administration and service to a community.
Internships in Healthcare: With several hospitals and clinics around Mesa, health-related internships can focus on medical administration, patient care, or even research. Retail or customer service with local stores or service providers would go well with people getting experience in customer interaction, sales, and inventory. Education Support Jobs: This might include tutoring or teaching assistance in schools and organizations within the local community.

Both remote and in-person roles yield fantastic experiences and skill-building that translate into different career paths.

Remote Psychology Research Assistant: Some universities and online platforms offer opportunities to help with research in psychology, such as assisting with surveys, transcriptions, or data analysis.
Volunteer for Crisis Helplines: You could gain valuable experience through organizations like Crisis Text Line, where you can remotely provide support and guidance to individuals in crisis.
3. Health and Wellness Coaching/Outreach
Community Health Volunteer: The Arizona Department of Health Services or local non-profits like A New Leaf offer opportunities to work on wellness programs, health education, or outreach efforts in Mesa.

Hi Scott!
I would say that good experience is very dependent on the field you are looking to go into! Mesa is a very central area in the Valley, and online internships are easier than ever to obtain! I would say that you should look for companies that are related to your career field and contact them directly (as opposed to through a site such as Indeed). Be specific with why you want to work there, and reach out to as many as possible!
