What do I do if I change my mind about my major?
As of now, I'd like to be an English major and am fairly set on it. However, what if I end up not being as passionate about it as I thought I was? It's scary to think that I may not have the money to change my degree and I can't really afford college as is let alone changing my mind halfway through.

Hello dear,
First tell me, do you found your passion??
If yes, then goahead with that and if no, then stick with what you are doing.
Believe on your decisions, then only you will achieve what you want.

It’s perfectly fine to change Majors, maybe do the core courses while you are thinking about it. Long term goals can be reached along the way while you are exploring subjects you want to learn more on and subjects that you enjoy.
I was a Psychology Major and ultimately my joy is Accounting.

Hi Ambre,
I have been in your shoes, I started off as a BioMedical Major I was jet set on being a Neurologist and an Anesthesiologist. It was my passion for as long as I could remember, I was probably the only five year old that was telling the world she was going to be a neurologist and anesthesiologist. I started off at my college knowing this was my career I was taking all the classes I needed too and by my sophomore year I had changed my mind and became a sociology major and a biomedical minor. It's completely okay to change your mind about your major, you go where your passion is, it is possible for your passion to change if you are introduce to something else that peaks your passion more but it doesn't mean you have to give up your first love. You can choose to switch your major and make english your minor so that classes aren't wasted or you can keep english your major and add your new/next passion as your minor. Win Win. Good luck love!
