What would be the best major for someone planning on applying for the FBI?
I’m getting ready to apply to colleges and this entire time my plan has been to major in criminology (or homeland security if offered) and minor in sociology. But, before that I plan on going to the marine corps but doing reserves so I can go to college while enlisted. I would like to switch to active duty after graduating college, and after finishing my contract I’d like to apply for the FBI. This has been my plan for quite a while but now I keep seeing things saying criminology and sociology are useless majors for the FBI and that “they’re not competitive enough”. Should I switch my majors (if so, what would suit me better), or should I stick with my original majors? Thank you in advance for the help!

What do I do if I change my mind about my major?
As of now, I'd like to be an English major and am fairly set on it. However, what if I end up not being as passionate about it as I thought I was? It's scary to think that I may not have the money to change my degree and I can't really afford college as is let alone changing my mind halfway through. #college #college-major #changing-majors #choosing-a-major #english #finacial
How often do people change their majors?
I think that I know what I want to study in college, but I'm worried that I'm going to change my mind once I actually start college, and that I won't be able to change. Is it hard for people to change their majors, and how many people actually do it? #college-major #choosing-a-major #changing-majors #academic-advising #college
A lot of people that I talk to say that they switch majors in college. Is it always a good thing to do that? Also are there advantages/disadvantages to doing that?
I’m asking this question because I realized a lot of people switch their major. #college #college-major #academic-advising #changing-majors
