Lucy’s Answer
Hey....The best and most expensive universities in the USA are known for their academic excellence, prestigious faculty, and extensive resources. Institutions like Harvard University, Stanford University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) are consistently ranked among the top globally. They offer a wide range of programs and research opportunities but come with high tuition costs, often exceeding $60,000 per year. Other renowned schools like Columbia University, Princeton University, and Yale University also have similar tuition fees. While these universities are expensive, they provide financial aid and scholarships to help offset costs for eligible students..... however it depends on the path of career you would like to take because all universities have their speciality...in which for example if you want to do a career related to technology...the best would be MIT but for others like law or medicine you also have Harvard or Yale or Duke universities to consider.

Jerry’s Answer
I have been in higher education for thirty- eight years. My daughter went to one of those prestigious institutions and after graduating did her graduate work at another one.
Yet I am not sure that a prospective student must concentrate on the prestigious (and expensive) institutions.
Community colleges. Four year colleges. State universities. You may be surprised at the academic excellence they offer.
Spend some time reading the news Reading it. Not watching it. Many articles, on whatever topic, often mention academic studies related to the topic. And/or mention academic experts who offer their expertise related to the news item. The majority of these individuals are not from the prestigious institutions.
I'd think further on this. At this point, in my opinion, you're buying a book by its cover.
